LADS Privacy Policy
LADS respects the importance of the privacy to all its members and visitors to its web site, and is committed to protecting their privacy.
Information Collected
LADS does not collect any personal information about you through its web site, apart from that set out below.
If you visit the LADS's web site to read, browse or download information without logging in, our system will record the date and time of your visit, the pages viewed and the information downloaded. It does not identify you personally.
If you are a member of LADS, you will be allocated a password. If you choose to use your password to log into the members section of our web site, a session variable (cookie) will be set on your browser. The cookie does not record any user details at all. Once you log off, or exit the browser, the cookie is deleted.
If, while logged on, you choose to use the member's forum to "Ask the Expert" a question, you will be required to complete a form. The form records your name, email address and question and the information is sent to "The Expert" in the form of an email.
If you wish to become a member of LADS, you will be asked to complete a membership application form. This can be downloaded from the LADS web site or is available from the LADS office. LADS collects whatever information you provide to it on the membership form. The information will include your:
- name
- address and phone number
- email address
- membership number and password for using the LADS web site (if applicable)
- method of payment for membership.
It will also include any further information which you choose to provide to LADS.
Use and Disclosure of Information
Any information you provide to LADS is kept strictly confidential. The contents of the LADS's membership database is not available in any form to third parties.
How we Handle Correspondence
We will preserve any e-mail or other correspondence you send us if we are legally required to do so. We may also record your e-mail address or other contact details in our membership database, if appropriate.
